    GPR65,alsocalledTDAG8(T-celldeathassociatedgene8protein),isapH-sensingG-proteincoupledreceptor(GPCR)activatedbyacidicextracellularpHthroughtheprotonationofseveralhistidineresiduesinthereceptor’ssequence.GPR65isinvolvedincancercellmetastasisandproliferation,immunecellfunction,inflammation,andbloodvesselformation1.

    HumanGPR65genehasbeenmappedtoalocationthatisassociatedwithTcelllymphomaandleukemiaabnormalities.

    GPR65isprimarilyexpressedinimmunecellsandleukocyte-richtissuessuchascirculatingperipheralleukocytes,spleen,thymus,andtonsils.Expressionisalsodetected pain relevantlocisuchasthedorsalrootganglianeuronsandparticularlysmalldiameterneuronsresponsIBLefornociception1,2.
