    GPR4respondstopHchangesandisactivatedbyaphysiologicalincreaseinextracellularH+ throughseveralsignalingpathwaysincluding-theG12/13-protein/Rho,theGq/PLC,andtheGs-protein/cAMPpathway1,2.ItisfullyactivatedatpHlevelsof6.8andlowerandisinactiveatpHlevelsof7.5andhigher3,4.
